New York City
NYCHA: State of Emergency
Here at CVH, we’re waging war on the city and state, for tolerating gross incompetence, negligence and consistent bullying of at the expense of the low-income, working people of NYC. We demand the implementation of a tenant oversight committee as well as a realistic timeline on critical NYCHA infrastructure repairs for the over 400,000 residents of public housing.
Community Voices Heard (CVH) member-leaders are organizing to protect the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly Food Stamps, against cuts in Congress. Right now, members of Congress are planning to cut the amount of benefits people receive from SNAP, make it harder to enroll in the program and more punitive/easier to kick people off. WE SAY NO!
