Upcoming Elections & Deadlines

2024 June Primary Election:

February 14: Deadline to change your party enrollment if you are already a registered voter*
June 10: Deadline to change your address if you are already a registered voter
June 15: Deadline to register as a new voter
June 15-23: Early voting
June 25: Primary Election Day

*You must be enrolled in a political party to vote in that party's primary.

There are many ways you can register to vote:

Register to vote online. You will need: NYS driver license, permit, or non-driver ID card; ZIP Code currently on record with the DMV; and a social security number.
Register in person at your County Board of Elections.
Request a New York State Voter Registration form by mail.
Call the 1-800-FOR-VOTE hotline to request a voter application.

Apply for an absentee ballot

Visit the NYS Board of Elections portal and apply online.
Locate your local county board of elections to apply.
Mail a paper application (English I Spanish)
