Guided by our members, we center women’s voices and build collective power to win financial security, a fully participatory democracy, and truly affordable homes across New York State.
That same commitment to dignity and shared power shapes how we work inside CVH. Regardless of role or title, every staff member is a steward of our mission and held to the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and care.

At CVH, our work is led by our Executive Director, Juanita Lewis, a widely respected and influential leader in New York’s housing justice and political landscape.
Juanita is one of City & State New York’s Top 100 Leaders and a Power Woman of Manhattan, and currently serves on the New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s Transition Team. She brings deep credibility, political fluency, and strategic clarity to the work—earned through years of organizing, coalition-building, and leadership at the highest levels.
