DECEMBER 4, 2019; New York, NY: President Trump's decision to roll back SNAP benefits for thousands of people is a direct attack on working families. In the richest nation in the world, we have the ability to ensure that no child, no family goes hungry. To snatch away benefits from low-income communities is just plain cruel. We've been fighting to strengthen the social safety net since 1994, and we will continue to fight to reverse these cuts and advocate for deeper investments for households in need.
